E-Markets Releases DRCSM Pricing Tool v. 7.0

AMES, Iowa - December 10, 2001 - E-Markets announces the release of version 7.0 of its DRCSM pricing tool. This enhanced version of the DRC pricing tool allows grain marketers to add to their total DRC marketing portfolio offerings by establishing customized marketing programs based on a common set of pricing variables unique to their individual customer base. The new version also allows grain marketing service firms to reduce the amount of time needed to open a large volume of new customer accounts and the ability of third-party marketing firms to work with local elevators and their DRC pricing tool producer-customers.

"DRC pricing tool Version 7.0 was created in response to customer needs," says Scott Cavey, president and COO of E-Markets. "As their DRC pricing tool marketing strategies have expanded, they told us they needed more efficiency when creating and maintaining a large volume of individual producer's pricing portfolios. Version 7.0 answers those needs."

The DRC pricing tool takes the guesswork out of grain marketing by automatically carrying out pricing decisions when grain markets reach the predetermined pricing variables. Elevators can offer multiple pricing models for producers to build a marketing portfolio at their desired risk level ranging from conservative to aggressive.

Over 700 elevators throughout the United States and Canada now offer the DRC pricing tool as a marketing service to their customers. This year, growers pricing over the December 2001 corn contract and the November 2001 soybean contract have realized an extra $.25/bushel on corn and $.49/bushel more on soybeans as compared to harvest prices.
