Congressman Tom Latham-Rep. Visits E-Markets

Congressman Tom Latham visited E-Markets Tuesday, April 2, 2002 during a trip to the Heartland. He discussed the farm bill and domestic security.

During a question and answer session, an employee asked how Latham planned to keep people in the small communities and to draw others in.

"We have to sell Iowa to these big companies that think they can only do business in Chicago or New York. Iowa has a lot to offer these companies, we just haven't been good at selling ourselves in the past," he said.
