E-Markets, Inc. Acquires AgSoft, LLC
AMES, Iowa - October 10, 2002 - E-Markets, Inc., the leading solutions provider of Internet-enabled business applications for the agricultural industry, announced today that it has expanded its core business systems offering through the acquisition of AgSoft, LLC.
Based in Salinas, California, AgSoft is a leading edge developer of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for the produce industry. The AgSoft business system includes modules for managing warehouse inventory, scheduling harvest and delivery, and managing grower account information and contracts. The system also includes a robust HR/Payroll module saving customers time by streamlining many of the processes involved with personnel management.
