Ames, IA – January 9, 2006. E-Markets, Inc., the leader in Technology Solutions for Agriculture, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Founded in 1996, the company introduced the industry’s first online grain production contracting system in 1997, the first Internet-based agricultural input ordering system in 1998, the first Internet-based risk management tool for the grain industry in 2000, the Internet-based Attribute E-XchangeSM trading management tool in 2001, and the newest Agriculture Business management system on the market called CINCH Agri-SuiteTM Version 6.0.
“We’re very pleased with the progress we’ve made over the last decade. We also look back with a great deal of gratitude to the support we have received from our loyal customers. Our early customers were pioneers in technology implementation and today they are the leaders in their industries,” says Scott Cavey, President and CEO of E-Markets, Inc.
“Although we’ve been around for 10 years, our products continue to stay on the cutting edge. The future is exciting now that the Ag Industry has the tools in place to integrate the supply chain and bring administrative improvements that have not been seen since we left mainframe computing,” added Cavey.
E-Markets created leading edge software as a service the first seven years in business and then successfully transitioned that skill into also building client based software for the Agri Business industry. Today E-Markets systems support more than 6,000 processors, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in the Agriculture industry.
“We have been delighted with the success over the past 10 years,” states Bruce Lichty, Chief Operating Officer of E-Markets, Inc.
“The growth and success that we have experienced are testaments to our talented employees and the continuing demand from our customers for a high quality product. It has been very exciting to develop, introduce, and implement all of these new technologies. We have some huge things planned for the future,” adds Lichty.
